All Saints Catholic School 8th Grade Graduation

Congratulations to the All Saints Graduating Class of 2018. For the last five years I have had the honor of being the guest speaker to the 8th grade Graduating Classes. This year was extra special because my son is part of the graduating class and Principal MacNamara is retiring.

After making my speech, I took a little bit of liberty and read a Proclamation from the Mayor making June 5, 2018 as Antoinette "Toni" MacNamara Day in the City of Sunrise for her 19 years of ministry teaching a faith based curriculum to over 5000 students. Congratulation to the Class of 2018 and I wish Mrs. MacNamara a very happy retirement.

Commissioner Neil Kerch and his Coffee with the Commissioner campaign

Since first being elected in 2013, Commissioner Neil Kerch has been engaging with his constituency at the local coffee shops.  Kerch says "that many of our residents prefer to have a one-on-one interaction to share their concerns about the community. They want to know who is representing them."

Commissioner Kerch believes its important to establish a relationship and work collaboratively to resolve the issues. "Not everyone can make our Commission Meetings and not everyone is comfortable speaking during open discussions" says Kerch.  Commission meetings start at 5pm on the 2nd and 4th Tuesdays of each month and the public is permitted to voice concerns during open discussion or can be heard during the agenda items with public hearings.

If someone wants to set up a coffee appointment with Commissioner Kerch, you can email him at or call (954) 746-3250.  Check the Events and Activities pages for photos.
